This Privacy Policy explains how SCADA & Beyond with Alana (“we,” “us,” “our”) handles personal information we receive through our Substack publication (the “Publication”).

Our Publication operates on the Substack platform. Substack’s Privacy Policy (substack.com/privacy) governs how they collect, process, and protect data on their platform, including technical data, cookies, payment processing, and platform security. This Policy only covers what we do with subscriber information we receive from Substack.

We retain paid subscriber information for the duration of your subscription plus 7 years for tax and legal compliance. Free subscriber information is retained for the duration of your subscription and deleted or anonymized within 24 months of unsubscribing.

We may periodically back up subscriber data for business continuity purposes. Backed-up data is stored securely and subject to the same retention periods.

For data retained by Substack directly, their retention practices apply.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to certain processing.
